Buenos Aires last weekend - in pictures

Last weekendin Buenos Aires - more pics...few words.

Below are the ladies in the food court. Each having a monstrous steak.

At. three in the afternoon.

The bread baker from Cabana Las Lisas on Saturday night and Andrew, a very happy Aussie.

Sunday in Recoleta. Home of the largest hippie fair in Buenos Aires.
T-shirts, handmade everything, even this stuff called Mate, which is an herbal drink all Argentinians love. I don´t understand how it works though. It looks like a bowl with oregano floating in water in it with a metal straw. How are they not inhaling these dried herbs.

Outside the famous Recoleta Cemetary. I wasn´t too excited about seeing a cemetary, but this really is impressive. Everyone is buried here, including everyone´s pets.

Here is a picture of a street in the cemetary. That´s how it felt, like a small city. These mausoleums built next to each other, resembling houses. Pretty cool, some very ornate, with two and three levels of a particular family in each.

Sunday I went to San Telmo (where I stayed the weekend, great neighborhood). This is the famous Sunday street fair and mardi gras-like parade. I´m actually here again in Buenos Aires for one night again coming back from El Calafate on my way to Mendoza, and am staying over just to go to this again because it was a blast.
Typical street performer. This guy was awesome. Some older woman told her daughter she wanted to take him home with her as he sang to her.
